How to login for free access

  • Within the library, you can access PressReader without logging in. So you don't have to be a library member.
  • At home, you will need your Libraries Tararua membership number and PIN/password to access PressReader.   Select Library or Group and search for Tararua. Select Libraries Tararua, then enter your library card number and password. You can create a New User account then if you wish, but you don't have to (just cancel to get to home screen).  We recommend Settings > Data access > tick allow wi-fi only content, or your data will disappear quickly!

Note that not all titles are available in Pressreader - in particular, Stuff Publications (e.g. Manawatu Standard, Wairarapa Times Age).

Once you have downloaded the app:

Open the PressReader app and select ‘Sign in’.

  1. Choose ‘Libraries & Groups’.
  2. Open the ‘Select Library or Group’ menu.
  3. Search for Tararua and select Libraries Tararua when it comes up.
  4. Select ‘Sign in’ and enter your library membership number and pin/password.

If you don't know your password,  visit our catalogue . Click login, then the forgotten your password link to receive a reset email.
