Papers Past is a resource supplied by the National Library of New Zealand.
The database is continually updated as more content is digitised.
The newspaper section contains digitised New Zealand and Pacific newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Not all newspapers are represented but more are being added all the time. The Bush Telegraph is not online.
The Bush Advocate is available to view online from 1888-1912.
It covered the Takapau, Ormondville, Norsewood, Makotuku, Dannevirke, and Wainui District area.
The Pahiatua Herald 1893 to 1943 issues are available to view online.
The Pahiatua Star 1886 to 1893 issues are available to view online.
The Woodville Examiner 1883 to 1920 issues are available to view online.
This paper covered the Woodville, Kumeroa, Maharahara and Mangatainoka areas.
The letters and diaries section contains digitised full-text manuscripts. Currently this section contains only the papers of Sir Donald McLean.
The parliamentary papers section contains digitised reports from volumes of the Appendix to the Journals of the House of Representatives (AJHRs) and the votes and proceedings of the House of Representatives.
The magazines and journals section contains digitised New Zealand journal publications.
