Print & Tech

All our libraries offer free unlimited wifi 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in collaboration with Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa (or APNK).

To access, click your settings, wifi, choose APNK Library. Password is apnk2765. Accept the terms to continue.

You can also freely borrow an APNK chromebook (laptop) when in the library - ask for one at the front desk, and access by logging in with your membership card and pin, or a guest pass.

No printer at home? You can use the library! Print from your own device (either from home or in the library), or by using one of our APNK devices.

Easily send a print job from your device from any location:

  1. Send an email to monitor@print.apnk.nz
  2. Receive a reply email with a job ID number (valid for 24 hours)
  3. Show staff the job ID number & pay for your printing.

Once printed, anything in the print queue deletes immediately and disappears from the server overnight. Anything not printed within 24 hours also deletes automatically.

Printing an attachment, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new email message
  2. Leave the subject blank
  3. Attach a file

If there is no file attachment, the system will print the email content only.

If you require both the content and the attachment, you will need to send it twice - both with and without the attachment.

Documents can be printed in black & white, or colour, in A4, and single or double sided. A3 printing is not available.

Just print as per normal, and then take your library card or guest pass to the front desk to pay for your printing.

All our libraries provide a free scanning (to email or USB) service.

Dannevirke and Pahiatua have APNK scanners which the public can access and use, or we can assist you.

Woodville and Eketāhuna have council equipment, and the staff can scan on your behalf - note that anything sent remains on the council servers.
